Dataro works inside the tools your team already uses.
Connect your CRM and marketing platforms and Dataro's intelligence layer sits on top — turning your existing data into ranked decisions and pushing execution-ready audiences directly to where your team works.
What does Dataro integrate with?
Dataro connects to major organisation CRMs, including Raiser's Edge NXT, Blackbaud CRM and Salesforce, and syncs predictions back into your system.
Which CRMs does Dataro integrate with?
Dataro is CRM-agnostic and connects to most major organisation fundraising systems, including Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud CRM, Salesforce, ThankQ and others. Raiser’s Edge NXT connects through the Blackbaud Marketplace, where you install Dataro and authorise the connection. If your CRM isn’t listed, Dataro can usually still integrate using a secure data export or the Dataro Agent.
What if my CRM isn’t officially supported?
Dataro can still work with your data even without a direct API. For systems without an API, Dataro uses the Dataro Agent to build a secure integration. For example, ThankQ CRM cannot integrate using APIs, so Dataro implements a robust integration using the Dataro Agent, with Dataro engineers completing the setup alongside the CRM team. If you’re unsure, Dataro’s team can confirm support for your system.
How does Dataro connect to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT?
You connect Dataro to Raiser’s Edge NXT through the Blackbaud Marketplace in a few guided steps. After setting up your workspace, you install Dataro from the Blackbaud Marketplace, then return to the Dataro app to authorise the connection. Dataro then prepares your data for review before predictions begin.
How does Dataro connect to Blackbaud CRM?
Blackbaud CRM uses a credentials-based setup rather than a marketplace install. You create a dedicated integration account (username DataroIntegrations) with a strong password and send the credentials securely to Dataro. Dataro then creates ad hoc queries to extract data and adds constituent attributes to store model scores and rankings.
How long does it take to set up a Dataro integration?
Most integrations are live within days, not weeks. After connecting Raiser’s Edge NXT, preparing your data typically takes 1 to 2 business days. You then verify key metrics, configure your models and tag historical campaigns before predictions go live.
Do Dataro’s predictions flow back into my CRM?
Yes. Dataro writes its scores and rankings directly onto your donor records so your team works in the tools they already use. In Raiser’s Edge NXT, Dataro’s propensities are stored using custom fields that you can filter on, such as Dataro DM Appeal Rank. You can build lists or queries on these fields just like any other CRM field.
Can I publish donor audiences from Dataro back to my CRM?
Yes. Dataro can push a ready-to-work audience straight into your CRM. When you publish an audience to Raiser’s Edge NXT, Dataro creates two records named after your audience: a constituent list containing every donor, and an appeal with each donor added to it. You use the constituent list for day-to-day work and the appeal as your campaign record.
How often does Dataro update its predictions?
Dataro refreshes donor predictions on a weekly basis. Donor predictions are updated weekly, and changes you make in settings are reflected in the next update. This keeps rankings current as new gifts and donor activity flow in from your CRM.
Does Dataro integrate with email and digital fundraising tools?
Yes. Beyond core CRMs, Dataro connects to tools like Mailchimp and Raisely. Dataro’s Mailchimp integration is currently available for Blackbaud NXT and Salesforce NPSP clients. The Raisely integration connects using a Raisely API key pasted into the Dataro app.
What data does Dataro extract from my CRM?
Dataro extracts the fundraising data it needs to model donor behaviour, focused on non-personally identifiable information. For ThankQ, for example, Dataro extracts non-personally identifiable information related to Contacts, Batch Items, Pledges, Communications and Sourcecodes, with exact tables and fields available on request. Dataro sits on top of your CRM and adds a predictive layer rather than replacing your system of record.
